I'm David Clifford — a data scientist and AI consultant with a PhD in spatial statistics from the University of Chicago, where I attended as a Fulbright Scholar. After a decade of applied research at CSIRO in Australia, I moved into industry: leading data science for Seed Advisor at The Climate Corporation prior to acquisition by Bayer, heading data science at Metromile, then joining Google's Moonshot Factory to help build Mineral, an independent Alphabet company reshaping AI in agriculture. I'm now based in Ireland, consulting across Food, AgTech, and AI — bringing both the rigour of research and the hard-won pragmatism of shipping real products.
